Getting started

What is HelpLink and how does it work?

A guided tour of the platform and the full job lifecycle from report to payout.

HelpLink is an AI-native property maintenance platform that connects three people around a single maintenance job: the resident who reports it, the property manager who approves it, and the verified provider (tradesperson) who fixes it. AI handles the busywork — triaging the issue, estimating a fair price, matching the right provider, and reviewing the finished work — while humans stay in control of anything high-risk.

The job lifecycle

  • Report — a resident describes the issue by text, photo (Lens), or voice.
  • AI triage — the issue is classified, risk-scored, and given a fair price range.
  • Approval — auto-approved within your SLA rules, or sent to a manager.
  • Match — the best available provider is offered the job.
  • Do the work — the provider goes en route, completes a checklist, and uploads photos.
  • AI quality review — the finished work is checked before the customer confirms.
  • Payment — money held in escrow is released to the provider, net of commission.
Example: A tenant reports 'water leaking under the kitchen sink'. AI tags it as plumbing, medium urgency, estimates £120–£185, and (because it's under the org's auto-approve limit) matches a verified plumber automatically. The tenant's payment is authorised but not charged until the job is captured into escrow.

Frequently asked

Do I need all three roles to use HelpLink?
No. Each role uses the part that applies to them. A tenant only reports and confirms; a provider only sees and does jobs; a manager oversees the portfolio.
Does AI make the final call?
No. AI triages, prices, matches, and reviews, but high-risk safety, damage, and compliance cases are always escalated to a human.
